Respect

Respect

When I disrespect you,

I hurt myself.

When I allow you to disrespect me,

I hurt you.

The root of evil

Is disrespect.

It is the behavior that says,

"To avoid my pain,

I make you less than human."

Disrespect feeds

- Abuse

- Codependence

- War.

And if we disrespect one moment

We disrespect a moment more.

Disrespect defined:

- Blame

- Attack

- Nonconsent

- Demand

It happens when someone does not share their:

-Feelings

-Needs

-Problems

-Requests

Respect is NOT subjective.

It is LAW that all Souls KNOW.

It is clear and obvious.

And humanity is currently not held accountable and to a clear standard of respect. People wholeheartedly enable and feel entitled to disrespect.

It is endemic and an epidemic.

And one we can resolve.

Much of my professional service is helping women communicate vulnerably so that they can have the relationships they deserve.

As such I am laser clear on how to lead people through disrespect into the heart of the matter.

I have seen the power and value of this practice.

And it's become a core activism. I'm always doing it. It's seva.

Somatically,

Disrespect happens to the degree one is not communicating from their breath, (their feelings).

And thus is communicating from a traumatized, frozen, and unfelt part. This is in the fascia, organ, and mind.

When I correct disrespect I first offer the person a chance to feel their feelings. Real time.

To start to meet their needs with me, here and now.

I boundary the bad behavior while also making myself an ally.

This is key.

This loving and supportive presence contradicts the original distress -- "I'm alone" --

and the trauma short circuits.

Either they open into the connection and collapse in trust and vulnerability -- usually crying --

Or they double down in disrespect, close,

and turn away.

If it is the former humanity won and we can move forward in greater understanding and companionship.

I will listen to their feelings and needs and avail myself to support. If it is the ladder nothing can be done

And the conversation is complete.

Because disrespect is a moment of dehumanization,

Disrespect is NOT a moment for conversation.

It is a moment for correction.

If after some time, (I give three opportunities),

The behavior does not correct,

It is time to trust the Self

And leave the situation.

Boundary appropriately.

If I don't,

I am liable.

And we are always responsible.

Disrespect is the root of all evil.

Respect is the root of all Love.

Love y'all.
